Ok, so I've just spent all morning making this new banner for the blog, but even after I followed the instructions (I think!) it still doesn't look right at the top of the page!!! Is there anyone out there that can help me fix this? I am html disabled and 100% not interested in understanding it, I just want it to look right! Argh!!!
Thanks in advance!!
Oh, and by the way, what do you think? I am open to critiques...
...well, sort of.

Try making the following changes in styles.css around line 84, inside the brackets for #banner:
background-color: #009000;
background-position: center center;
height: 360px;
margin-bottom: 15px;
Hope this helps.
As for critiques, I'd make the banner shorter. You're losing a lot of screen real-estate and it should still be readable at 50% of the size.

andymurd to the rescue! He's my hero too
:)
I agree that the banner is too "tall" and forces you to scroll down too much. ANy chance of halving the height? Otherwise looks good

Wow, Andy you rock! Any chance you'd be interested in re-designing my blog??

Are you going to write some background info in the banner like your previous one?

Amy,
I would center it on the page and move LaGramiere to the top and or add another photo on the side. I am one who thinks in uneven number when it comes to designs. They used to always tell you that in art classes, but it no longer holds true, but my eye picks up on even numbers. Those sunset pictures were awesome. Could you by any chance work those in? I sure do enjoy reading your blog!!

I would make it smaller, and maybe use a rotating image, with each page load you see something different.
