I had the same experience. I've still got vines going through veraison, but the dark grapes are already pretty ripe. I caught my doggy eating some the other day! Glad to know I'm not the only one. :)

Ryan, it seems to be like that everywhere, just got an email from Cambie saying the same thing in the Vaucluse. It's going to be a rollercoaster this year!

So glad I discovered this blog, love the dream you are living, ridiculously jealous, and as a guy loving life in the heart of the Russian River Valley, I don't say that often.
Gorgeous head trained grenache - my fave varietal! Made a barrel (my first) this year, can't wait.
Bad boars! At least they have good taste. Are you allowed to roast them? :)
